Getting started
How fast is my address active?
Within 24 hours of completed identity verification — usually the same working day.
What do I need to sign up?
A valid passport or national ID card and a payment card.
Why do you verify my identity?
To make sure post is only handed to the right person and to prevent fraud. It is a one-time online step.
Do I need to live in the UK?
No. Most of our customers live outside the UK.
Post & parcels
Do you sign for Special Delivery and Signed For items?
Yes. We sign for tracked and signed-for items, log them and notify you immediately.
Can several people use one address?
Each recipient must be named on the account: 1 name on Starter, 2 on Plus and up to 5 on Premium.
What happens to junk mail?
We discard obvious advertising free of charge unless you ask us to keep everything.
Do you accept parcels?
Yes — included on Plus and Premium, per item on Starter.
What we don’t do
Can I use the address for a company?
Not at the moment. The service is for private individuals only: we don’t provide registered office, business or correspondence addresses for companies, and post addressed to companies is returned to sender.
Is the address a proof of residence?
No. It is a postal address, not a residential address, and it cannot be used where proof of where you live is required. It does not affect your tax residence either.
Billing & cancellation
Which payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards (including Apple Pay and Google Pay where available), via Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically every month.
Is VAT added to the price?
No. MyBritishAddress is run by ABC Office, a Swiss company, and no VAT is charged: the price you see is the price you pay. You receive an invoice by e-mail after every payment.
How do I cancel?
From your customer portal or with one e-mail, effective at the end of the paid month. We forward or return remaining post as you instruct.
Are there hidden fees?
No. Plan price plus postage at carrier cost. Extras (additional scans, parcels on Starter, express handling) have published flat prices.
